neighbor brings a Barn Owl’s feather.

Search for the colors in the Owl’s wing
and find it in a sweater newly knit.
Find it in the swirls
of creamed tea.

Past
What happened to Owl
after she ate DeadCrow
silently at night.
After black Crow
brought the light of day
tan Owl had to wait
for the dark of night.

Future
Will DeadCrow make Owl wise?
Crow’s story will continue inside of Owl.
Maybe Owl will tell it
when I write with her wing feather
in the color of Crow.
